This segment concludes the series with a look at the myriad connections between the region and the United States, from the perspective of Central American artists.

This segment uses the spoken words of past and current Central American writers, poets, and singer-songwriters to give the listener a unique perspective into the Central American experience, past and present. Featured are Nicaraguan writer (and former vice-president Sergio Ramirez), the Nicaraguan/Salvadoran poet Claribel Alegria, and singer-songwriter Luis Enrique Mejia Godoy of Nicaragua.
